WOW! This is one of the best captures of yours I’ve seen so far and I’m very grateful to you for sharing it with us. I have really enjoyed seeing your return to the saddle again so to speak. I write to you from County Donegal, Ireland where I’ve been since early March. In April I read in the Sandpaper about my bufflehead duck neighbors who were dying off in large numbers. In a childish way I suppose I was grateful not to be there to witness it first hand. They are such a vital part of my life by the bay, and each year I am thrilled to see their return. I can tell you, like other followers of yours, I fully share your pain in reading about the same thing going on with the majestic birds you and your posse so lovingly document and safeguard. So many factors exist but for me, the point at the end of the sentence about all of this death is that we humans must become much better humans. Your bravery in serving as a guardian for these magnificent creatures and in turn shining a light on and sharing the good, the bad and the unquestionably ugly outcomes of our collective human indifference toward the environment is, I believe, a good first step towards our way forward.

    Thank you.

First, would love to know if this a current pair or past history Peregrine pair? Am curious as to what all the commotion with the gull is about…

Current & Past. I believe the scene is that in extreme flooding, the gulls were desperate to sit on the tower and became accustomed to fighting with the falcons.

Would LOVE to know what was being said when this photo taken? Do birds trash talk?

Birds most certainly trash talk. Especially Peregrinea.

Say something kind
