Show me the babies and let me help

Congratulations to pair 02 on a successful hatch in the park yesterday.

While they aren’t banded, I’m pretty sure, based on their very specific nesting site choices, that this pair was with us last year too, and were original settlers of the Clearcut. This is their first successful hatch.

They are very sweet, patient, and tolerant as far as oystercatchers go. I believe they are going to be great parents.

      They lost one not long after this video, but continue to do a great job with the remaining chick. High hopes they will fledge it.
