Creepypastas: The Hoody

Creeps are creeping

If you don’t know what creepypasta is, then you’re not spending enough time with the very-online Gen Z. Creepypasta is essentially horror content for the internet. It once was reserved for stories and legends, but has evolved to include to simple memes and images, like the one above. And that photo sure is scary.

There is often an unsettling vibe to watching wild spaces through the camera at night, and seeing a human where one doesn’t belong always gives me a bit of a jump scare. In this case, we have hoody guy creeping recklessly around the fenced nesting area of Plover Park in the dark.

But the ghostly figure in the hoody isn’t the scary part. What’s truly horrifying is that he blindly missed crushing oystercatcher nest 02B by mere feet.

A very near miss for 02B

What’s also scary is that, based on his orientation, he just walked right through the large least tern colony, so his shoe soles have at least a few egg yolks stuck to them.

And his hood is probably up because the poor terns were in a complete panic so were dive bombing him and raining feces down all over his head.

Creepy.

    Why? The carelessness. Frustrating.

“Say something kind”…..yet there is nothing kind to say about a human being walking around an area in the dark where there are nesting shorebirds!! I hope he had to wash all of the white poop off his hoody!!

The signs & rules are for everyone else but the person walking through Plover Park.

Say something kind
